Thomas and Lucia was established in 2008 by husband and wife team Matthew and Sue Clayton. Our lovely lifestyle shop in Christchurch ran for 10 years. Thomas & Lucia become a favourite local destination for home and garden accessories and gifts. In addition, we became one of the largest stockists of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ and ran official Chalk Paint™ workshops teaching hundreds of people how to use the paint to recycle and revamp their furniture and interiors.

Running the shop was enormous fun but at the end of our lease, in 2018 we decided it was time for a change. Sue returned to her career in horticulture. Matthew has gone on to concentrate on the specialist service of kitchen unit and furniture painting.

We have honed and refined the kitchen painting service. Matthew has painted literally hundreds of kitchens in that time. In 2022 we have expanded the paint range to offer a modern eggshell thus greatly increasing the colour range. This wealth of experience and expertise means that we are thoroughly equipped to deliver a professional service for you to update your kitchen or furniture.
